My Bleach speed painting video

by Daniel Sun Wed Oct 27, 2010 7:57 am

Hello ya'll,
I've been working on Armed with Wings 3 for about a year. Now although Armed with Wings 3 has hundreds of art assets, it's got even more lines of code. I've been coding for so long, i'm sick of it!
I thought it was about time to get in touch with my artistic side. I present a 4 minute video which features the illustration process of Ulquiorra Chifer from a basic sketch to a completely shaded piece.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXBG8bOtcG0
I plan on making more video like this, maybe even tutorials related to drawing, animation, game development ect... Sign up and comment. I'd like to hear what you guys would like to see.

Hmmmm they say that if you would like to draw the face of a character, they say that you have to start draw a circle then a cross line of it

yes that certainly helps. Cross the middle, thats the eyes, cross in between the bottom and the eyes, thats the nose, cross between the nose and the chin, thats the mouth.

Thank you all for the kind words! I was simply recording the workspace in photoshop, not the panels. I used a layer for the sketch, a layer for the outline, a layer for the black fills, a layer for dark shades, a layer for lighter shades on top, then a layer for light shades to smooth everything out. and a layer for the background and a layer for my sig.

Well i heard animators from the simpsons that they were interviewed of how they make the simpsons look great. Also dan they say if you want to make a cartoon they say that 24 frames required for one action like turning a neck of the character for example. and it took them 6 months just to create a cartoon within 10 minutes duration how long could that be i observed other cartoons ends with 20 minute duration. and commercial breaks stall them for the minimum of 30 minute of one cartoon in either nickelodeon, cartoon network and any other channels that has significant drawing

And don't we know it! (fellow Artist) On average, when i'm making a sketch/ picture for my Portfolio, I usually have a minimum of 5 Layers, and my Highest Layer count to date would be..... 13, And I'm pretty sure that was for my Takoshi Hitsamaru Wallpaper Hahahahaha
