Production Blog Entry #3

Today I've worked on the combat. I've put all the first combat back into the game. For those who played the demo, while in a combo, if Down was pressed with the attack key, that would trigger the more powerful attack and end the combo. I've now changed this, if you simply hold down the attack key instead of tapping, it will trigger the more powerful move.
I've also gone for a WASD button configuration. A = attack, S = weapon, D = special ability, W = eagle. They are represented at the bottom left corner of the screen. Makes it easier to remember which key does what. I think this is the best setup.
It seems that a lot of you guys would like a grab attack. I'm defiantly going to add a grab move, and it will rock. I'm also looking into ways to buy upgrades to increase damage, speed ect... Maybe even buying new fighting styles, new grabs, new weapons.

Indeed I will. ahah. 90% of the levels are made already. There's still a lot of work, but I'm working fast.

Now thats more like it, Instead of saving the game by passing room to room same as AWW2, maybe you should make a room for a merchant and a saving statue or that glowing light, same as other games live Devil may cry 3 and 4, As for the moves there must be Triple and double jump because jumping wall to wall is same as Megaman,and need slide please..there could be 2 merchants one is for the weapons, 2 is for a trainer that teaches you skills and techniques

The game is fine the way it is. I like the fact of completing a level before it saves like AwW2. Sliding down walls would be cool, though. :lol:

Plus, if we have low HP on combat there must be Regeneration if the character is not moving, Or replenish its HP and MP from a Check or Save point. I bet vandher lorde is part of the game, i wander if he manage to escape into a Doom dimension, Oh and as for the weapons, There must be some Lance or a spear, because AWW2 doesnt have a Spear or a lance weapon.I like the whirlwind special when it comes to spears and lances though

for me is all ok... if Dan add lance or spear or wall jump or HP rigeneration... for me it's ok... in the end, who work is Dan, not we...

I forgot to mention about the Charge, Like the red moon. it has charge attack by holding the attack key. Do we have a button that is for kicking?Same as AWW2 lorde had a kick and a fist but mix all together must have a different move

There is no kick button. I'm trying to use implement all three games into 1 but keep the controls simple at the same time. A = attack S = weapon D= special ability (interchangeable) W = eagle
I probably won't have quick time events, mainly because I don't like them that much.

Atleast there is Acrobatics,And Gymnastics like Eivanna do.This is going to be much better.Dont forget about the Spears,Boostabs,Lances weapons

I'm thinking about it. It's a fair amount of work to add a new fighting style, and I need to get the game done quick. There will surely be new weapons, but they will be thrown onto the same animations, like Armed with Wings 2.

Dan is there other specials from different kinds of weapons? I like the one in the redmoon because At the final boss Vandher lorde has a Nice lightning technique used against Eivana, Its similar to the Armed with wings 2 the ones that the weapon has a water element, It has short range but spread as sideways. but vandher has long range of a lightning the pops out on the ground

It sounded like Fire too lol
I would certainly love a Boss/ Enemy Finisher Move
Like an Awesome Cutscene where you own you're Opponent lol

Vandheer 2, you can simply say use or copy moves from mugen characters... buy, for an italian guy like me, mean pay with money for have or use it! ok?
