Production Blog Entry #2

I've spent a lot of hours on the game today. Most of what I've added is all behind the scenes stuff that will allow for easy implementation and control of levels. The workable file is already far more neat and tidy. The more organized the source code is, the quicker I can work. The color overlay is now handled with actionscript, it should be able to fade into different color hues, that will be very fun to do. I’ve thrown in the first level so far, the others I will add later once I’ve made the bird and combat mechanics.
It’s very interesting to make the same project all over again, because I know now how to avoid making the same mistakes that created problems. One example of this is depth control. Each object has a Depth number. The level might be 1, the hero might be 2 ect… the object with the higher number will be on top of ones with lower numbers. This became an annoying problem when I had too many objects to track. However, I’ve figured out a way to group similar objects together and assign a depth relative to that group.

uhm.... i like this style, but i prefer the old one where characters are all black and the background was coloured... of course, this is you choice^^

I liked the characters being all black, too. But I'm definitely loving this new style for AwW 3.

Right, well I should mention that most of the old AwW3 game was black and white.

Here's Some Sugestions!

Agility Moves (you Know You Grab an Enemy And Throw him in the wall)
A Finishing Move (like Stabing attack on the floor)
on Screen Inventory! (if possible)
Transperant Health Bar (you know when you get hit by an enemy your health bar shows)
Action Cutsceens ( i love this it's when you press a random button in a cutsceen).

And I kinda hate to say it but I liked the Black and white also....But This is still Freakin awesome


btw How does this Guy (Leo) have an Eagle too?
Was he Reborn also?

One last thing, Is Vandheer Dead?
And, If not, then what now....Is that pic set in the Blackmist Empire?
Or in some random Forest, oh and another thing I've always wanted to know, What does the Empire actually look like anyway?
in Aww1 It seemed to be outside in some Wasteland Correct?
In Aww2 it seemed like Vandheer exited the actually Castle when he walked to where Quema Tormenta was, then he Travels to the mountains (?) To ask Hawken (who seems to have his own Empire) to help him.

Did i get any of these right?

Level one is still desame as before. however the Eagle isnt their.instead it is replaced by a baby dragon. Dont forget the new moves Dan,Grab,Specials,New moves that is needed to be unlocked by facing bosses
