First off, i'm new so hi to everyone. I've been following the forums for quite a while and then saw the art section and decided, i'm gonna join. Just wanted to see if other people enjoyed my art, even though I don't think I can even compare to some people on here.(If Daniel Sun reads this, you are a BIG inspiration and made me want to start some artwork in the first place) now that I've made a way long-winded post, follow link and give me pointers please. :)

Thanks. Yours is good, I like manga style drawings, though i'm not so good at them myself. just got my graphics tablet a few Weeks ago, and really didn't make much until recent inspiration. The (one) other was made on my android tablet. I would have just put the drawing in my post but i'm posting from my Android tab and couldn't figure it out (blush) Yes, he is quite the artistic genius isn't he. Just the silhouettes AWW2 are amazing :)

I paint without a tablet (using pencils and gel pens). From time to time - the computer mouse) Yes, my main style - anime and manga. And in what style do you paint? Give me a link to your other work, if they exist) if possible.

I must say, impressive work Crimson! I've been meaning to try drawing on the computer but I'm not familiar with what program to use and how to master doing it so I pretty much just draw with the common tools. Mikoto, I am also in awe of your drawings. I too am a fan of manga style drawing and just wanted to say that the both of you have done a great job with the art. Keep it up!

@Mikoto, i'm even more impressed that some of those were drawn with only a mouse. As for style and more art, just started this stuff and don't know what my style really is, I need to explore more. I have no more art on other sites, but will update my DA (hopefully) regularly. (just did, actually)

@Kesani, thanks a lot. It's nice to hear that from a completely unbiased source. I just use a 60$ dollar (monoprice) tablet and GIMP with a few mods installed. Just started using it, the are so many things it has that I have no clue how to use!

I am very pleased that you liked my pictures, although I'm not such a high opinion of them) Kesani, but you also paint? Can you show pictures?) Crimson Thorn, whose work in your signature? _? YOU? ♥ * Fan * $ 60 for a tablet? Cheap it is something :/

Mikoto, I assume you mean my post signature? Sadly that is not from me, it is from Brom, a character in the novel "Eragon" And yes, 60 is cheap but I did a lot of searching on the Web and everyone said it was good. Some even said that it was better than a wacom tablet, but I would take that with a grain of salt. It's got 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and that's enough for me. ;)

Hmm, not sure about the signature art lol. Just saw it as a really good picture on google and took it as a signature. As for Paint, I do not use it as often as I do regular drawing. I prefer to utilize my drawing skills rather than master computer art. I plan on posting some art of mine on Monday. Not sure how people will see it but I hope they like it.

Well, I think it is better to draw on paper, because then you have a picture of reality, and you can touch it), but the quality of the picture on the tablet are often much better) Even though it's envy on the abilities of the artist.
And this picture is painted on the tablet (in your signature)))
I am waiting for your pictures!

Wow, thank you:) But seriously, who could look at your work and not be inspired!? I really like the way you give so much depth without color, very hard for me to do. Screw color! It's a pain in the butt!

And Kesani, it's Monday, we're waiting;)

For your own topic, I am drawing too bad ... Compared with the rest T_T
I know how to paint portraits - and often catch the similarity of "models"))) ♥ But only in the style of "Final Fantasy" is an anime in a very realistic style.

Ah, yes, final fantasy has some fantastic art, not to mention the amazing graphics on the newest ones. All I can say is to practice, but you already knew that. :)

Well, in the first one the head is too big comparing to the rest of the body. Unless you wanted to draw in chibi-ish style.
The second looks really good, the head is quite wide but it's still good. And highlighting the face bones makes them look a bit scary but maybe that was your intention...

Thanks for the tips. I know the head is quite big, which I realized after drawing the rest of the body. The socond one is not my character, the head was that wide in the picture I was looking at while drawing lol. And I was trying to make the last guy look sort of serious and menacing, good to know that it worked ^^

Another bit of manga drawing. Zero Kiryuu from Vampire Knight. Not sure, but the arms seem kind of short.

PS, for anyone who can read Japanese, sorry for mutilating his name, I do not know any kanji yet lol
