Hmmm... I guess the thin ggrey lines show us the the route wich Lone Warrior will travel with great speed. I mean check it out when he dissapears and slashes an enemy then vanishes appears........... He follows the grey line. The same thing goes with the flames I guess. You use them to teleport to higher ground, because they can be targeted just like enemies.

I can't say much from just seeing the trailer but I think I see at least one in the trailer (those strange flame things in the air look puzzlelike to me)
